SENDING IN MATERIAL
So you've been exploring organart.com, the Organ pages, the ORG Records site and now you want to send something in to us..... here' what you do
You've explored our site (hope you enjoyed it), checked out some of our ORG releases, bought a couple of our ORG-AN-ISED singles. Have you picked up one of those Organ Radio compilations (did you enjoy those Dolium tracks?
Dolium sent in a tape, we checked them, spoke to them, and on the compilation they went....). Read the latest issue of Organ zine down at your local record shop (did you like that LEFTOVER CRACK interview? We loved doing that one) - been to one of our shows (Panixphere are the best band we've ever put on, THE MASONS  were on great form at the Garage the other day, so were ENGERICA at the Bull&Gate), watched as bands like Pulkas, Cay, My Vitriol, Desman, Lostprophets, Sikth, Pornorphans, Breed 77, Miocene, Seymour and hundreds more emerged from the darkest depths of obscurity via our pages/gigs/cds/flyers/whatever.....
NOW YOU WANT US TO DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR BAND DON'T YOU
Want to send in a tape for us to review? Want to send in a copy of your demo to ORG RECORDS? Want to know if we'll put one of your band's tracks on an ORGAN RADIO compilation.... Here's how it works.... Send in whatever you want to send in (useful hint no 23: make the package exciting, we always open the big ones that are covered in glitter and look like they're full of chocolate, underwear and silver stiletto type bribes first, the boring looking brown ones politely addressed to the ORG Records A&R department are opened last - they're always the safe ones, we have no time for safe average stale music - we do not want to find the next STROKES, we don't want demo tapes that sound just like (insert whoever you want here) and WE DO NOT have an A&R department, never call up asking to be put through to the goddamn A&R department, we don't have one, we don't want one, we don't need one.... Don't even think of calling our A&R department!)
Send in whatever you have -
- if it's a cassette or a CDr make sure the band name is on the disc or the tape (you'd be amazed how many CDs come in here in nice looking covers - no name on the disc itself, we throw it on start thinking "this is great, let's make them rich and famous" only to have the drummer from Global Noise Attack run in with a hot tape in his hand, switch your demo off, throw it on the desk and insisted we listen to the new Armageddon Pig On Coke Mix of one of their new songs and thus your potentially ground-breaking disc is separated from it's cover for ever - we've got several  floating around here that sound great, haven't a clue who they are - we haven't got time to chase these things up, there's gonna be another load to distract us tomorrow, you've blown it, and all because you didn't put the band name on the disc). Make sure your name, your phone number and your E-mail address is well in evidence AS WELL AS YOU YOUR WEBSITE - we also expect a street address to be somewhere on the cover - if we're going to review your band on the ORGAN pages then our readers want your address to follow things up - I mean, they're not going to be able to buy your demo down the VirginTower enormodome-megastore are they.... no, our readers want to send for your tapes and CDs, find out where you're playing, other zines want to find out, those sneaky underhand A&R types who read these pages and who follow our every move want to contact you.... if you want us to put contact with the reviews then we're more than happy to do so (providing whatever you sent in is worth reviewing - we don't waste our space on any old crap you know - some one called yesterday asking for the ORG A&R department, claimed his band was kind of Lenny Kravitz meets Skunk Anansie, jezzzzus H on a bike, what the hell made him think we wanted to hear something like that!!!).

Make sure you tell us how people contact you  - you don't have to have a record deal, you can do it all yourself, there's plenty of zines and alternative underground publications who'll review your stuff, there's plenty of people fed up with what the mainstream is force-feeding them, people want to explore the undergrowth, you don't need a record deal, record it yourself, put it out yourself, send it in for people like us to review nd spread the word, ... D.I.Y, get involved, do it yourself!

If you're looking to get something released on ORG RECORDS
then don't worry, if it's something that interests us we'll be straight on the phone, or down to your next gig, or firing off an e.mail in your direction - if it's something that excites us then we'll be on the case, maybe it does sometimes take a little time before you hear from us, we do really get mountains of stuff in here and we do like to check out everything properly..... we'll get back to you if it excites us - if we review it in the paper version of ORGAN then we'll send you a copy - ORGAN goes online everyThursday andcomes outin printed form every two months, if you're in there you'll get a copy, SO PLEASE DON'T CALL US TWO DAYS AFTER YOU POSTED YOUR demo - if it interests us then we'll get back to you. Drop us an e.mail to check if your creativity got here but DON'T BUG US EVERY FIVE MINUTES ON THE PHONE. If you're material doesn't excite us then we'll pass it on to someone else, another zine maker or gig promoter or if it's really bad then we'll give it to some of the stupid A&R types who's following us around town or something (sorry, we really haven't got the time or money to send things back, rude I know but we are working 27 hours a day on this and we really don't make any money out of it all...we should have packed in ages ago, if only you'd stop sending us exciting music! So many good bands around at the moment that we can't possibly stop! indeed not, we've only just started!!!!). IF IT INTERESTS US YOU'LL HEAR FROM US, IF IT DOESN'T THEN YOU WON'T - of course it always help if you actually tell us what you want in a covering letter when you send in your creativity.
One more thing, please don't e.mail us asking us to go check out the sound files on your own websites, 46 other bands have done it before you already today, we haven't got time to check out any of them.... you can see what we're about if you think it's worth sending a tape/cd/whatever in then just do it.... you should be able to work out what we're in to... and mail us unrequested MP3 things just pises us off and nakes us think you're a total nugget

Ah look, if you've got something you want to send us, just do it, get involved, contact and switch the other - if it's good  and you've got the right attitude then you'll get our support.
