WE LIKE TO CONTRADICT OURSELVES HERE AT ORG RECORDS - this one upset a lot of people who thought they had us worked out.  Never ever expect us to bring you what you think you can expect...

Indeed CUBAN BOYS signed to EMI on the back of that ORG single and all the attention and their first EMI single hit no4 in the singles charts at the end of 1999 (with the help of some dancing hamsters).  And then... well if you want to know more then go surf... they released an album on EMI and had their 15 minutes and then retreated back in to the undergrowth...

“The Cuban Boys were a production team of school friends Skreen B and BL Underwood (also known as Blu) along with brother and sister Jenny McLaren and Ricardo Autobahn. They initially came to the public’s attention via John Peel and his playing of their demos and first underground singles They were responsible for the hit single Cognoscenti Intelligentsia which was released through EMI. Commercially, little was heard from the band itself after this, although they have released several limited-run and EPs, and scored further top 40 successes under various pseudonyms... “
