GLOBAL NOISE ATTACK - latest update 17th DEC 2003
Global Noise Attack at play GLOBAL NOISE ATTACK...."industrialized technoid dark wave crossover" and that's probably about as close as we'll get...
BAND BIOG

London's very own GLOBAL NOISE ATTACK are a band who don't sit around waiting fo everyone else to sort it out for them..... they put their own self financed album Seizure out on their own label Tumult  in late 1996 and set about playing in all kinds of strange places to promote it - metal gigs, Goth clubs, fetish events, industrial gatherings - they quickly built up a healthy underground reputation with their intense black clad shows and their strange looking followers - indeed the real beautiful people - they first hooked up with us during the annual Organ Eight Day Itch week where they played with fellow industrial tribalists Leech Woman and underground Goth movers All Living Fear..... We loved their rubber dresses and their scathing intensity and to cut another long story short the band's second album RESTRAINED FURY came out on ORG in early 1998 -

Latest news (July 2001) - GNA had  been recording some preliminary tracks for the third album, they've been doing bits of things with PIG.  Expect them to follow recent strange underground dates and higher profile gigs with Christian Death with a more conventional UK tour before they go in to record the third album.... (although they are talking to a number of big labels at the moment so plans could well change)

Where are they today? Indeed, a good question? still working on the new album I guess - they just booked some shows

GLOBAL NOISE ATTACK have started playing live again. Don’t know many of the details but there’s a new website to be found at www.g-n-a.co.uk – more news when and if we get it… G.N.A's acclaimed second album came out on ORG back in the last century -

PRESS QUOTES AND SUCH
"Way too metallic to be labelled as a dance/industrial act, but with more natural groove than a million crummy funk metal outfits put together, London based GNA are impossible to categorize. Their biography goes with "industrialized technoid dark wave crossover" and that's probably about as close as we'll get.   The Opener "Desperate Culture" is magnificent, guitarist/programmer Richard Kaltenhauser's purposeful riff seizing the attention of the casual listener from the off. GNA are extremely wise to introduce themselves with their most obvious song, because from there on, things only get weirder. "Don't Fear The Pain" is less rhythmically based and a lot darker, and with "Born Again Mutation" the tempo,  dips further, as the guitars offer forth a low-pitched growl like a pack of hungry dobermans. The riff to "Drip Feed" is pure Fear Factory, "Sand And Tears" amounts to little more than a brooding atmospheric showcase for their super-cool frontman Brian Stewart. Getting the picture? GNA's sheer vitality and diversity are to be commended, and "Restrained Fury", their second album, is a welcome breath of fresh air.  8/10  DAVE LING   METAL HAMMER
