Now just where did Mogul come from? They sent us a tape, the version of ROLL WITH IT they had on there was glorious, it didn't stand out though - their own songs were good enough to stand next to the fine version of the Oasis song, the second track BETTER THAN SEX is a far better song..... We had to do something more than just review this in overcrowded pages of Organ, one taste of Mogul's fizzy pop and we were hooked... fractured bedroom synth pop, this is the real punk rock deal, Mogul ooooooooooezzzzzzzzz cooler-than-you attitude - Casio keys and fragile four-track recordings. Mogul are Candi and Johni - Mogul make music to lose your virginity to - their debut EP came out late last year and the fanzines and teen powered radio stations of the world fell in love with them; the spirit that Bis once had before they went of fto explore other tasty possiblities (we're Bis fans here at Organ, don't let anyone tell you Bis aren't cool), the anarchy of Dweeb, the classy sounds of The Normals or Soft Cell - it's punk rock synth pop, it's hanging around shopping centres, it's growing up in Birmingham, it's the soundtrack to your life......
