RECORDS - We
do things our way, our rules, we don’t push ‘product’, we hate the p word.
This ain’t no soulless marketing exercise. We release good music, music
that we love, music that excites us, music made by people who inspire and
music we care about and want to share with you – music we love, sold to
you at a fair reasonable and honest price – to us punk rock is not a sound,
it’s a state of mind, an attitude. We’re not about buying space in glossy
magazines and advertising campaigns that mean you have to pay a fortune
for our releases, we do things a different way, we think we do it the proper
way (and if it isn't priced reasonably then it isn't in any way anything
near punk rock either….)
We
come from a DIY fanzine background, we like to keep it personal, we're
about music and we like music diversity - we never ever want to have an
ORG sound and we never ever want to be about one style. When we do use
convient words and familiar terms by way of vague description then that's
all they are, vague descriptive signposts - we'd get bored if all our bands
sounded the same, we'd get bored if this was a xxxx label or a xxxxx
label and we'd hate for you to be able to put is a safe little box and
market us like that.
We
don't 'sign' bands, those days should be long gone. This unhealthy obsession
with being 'signed' all you bands have, what is all that about? Haven't
you worked itout yet? We enter simple agreements on a release by release
basis. We cover our costs and then it's a simple 50/50 split of any money
made (if any money is made that is). We're happy to do one off releases,
we're happy for bands to move on if that's what the want.
We
do things our way
