Thing of the Day

ForSee are calling for artists to come join in at the Apricot Gallery in the Rag Factory this Thursday

April 12th 2011

ForSee – Open Art Space is a mixed media exhibition, open house fund-raising event. It happens on Thursday 14th April, and the organisers want “as many artists to come along with their work during the day (it can be anything, frameless prints, drawings etc)  You can simply put them on the wall and we will sell them”  (50% of all sales will be donated to Parkinson's UK to aid research in to Parkinson’s disease).

Open house to bring down work is between midday and 6pm, and then, if we have this info right, the show itself runs from 6pm until 10pm “We are hoping to create an ever growing exhibition throughout the day for everyone to have fun with and enjoy”
The Rag Factory is at 16 Heneage Street, London, E1 5LJ

...meanwhile, MAD C at PURE EVIL….

Mad C presents her first UK solo show MadABC at Pure Evil gallery, 108 Leonard Street, London, EC2. The show preview is at 6pm this Thursday April 14th, opening time is 6pm, the show runs at the gallery until May 1st.

MadC Here comes the press release blurb…

She has travelled the globe and painted her name in more than thirty countries.  Mad C will show canvases and sketches focusing on street typography and graffiti alphabets in dedication to her recently published book Street Fonts – graffiti alphabets from around the world (Thames & Hudson).

Alongside the show at Pure Evil, there’s an 'off site' warehouse space that has been painted inside and out (see video) as part of the exhibition. During the opening a shuttle bus will be provided to transport people between the two locations…
