ORGAN @ RESONANCE 104.4fm LONDON
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM - SCROLL DOWN FOR LATEST PLAYLIST
THE OTHER ROCKSHOW and THE ORGAN SHOW @ RESONANCE 104.4fm with MARINA ORGAN one week and SEAN O the next. 9.00pm every Sunday night...

RESONANCE BROADCASTS ALL OVER LONDON ON 104.4FM OR WORLDWIDE VIA THE WEB

The Other Rock Show is presented by Marina O, The Other Rock Show is about exploring 'other' time signatures within structures of rock and filtering out the conventions of the 4/4 time easy option in favour of something a little more challenging.

Meanwhile on the ORGAN RADIO SHOW Sean Owill be bringing you an eclectic mix of diverse left-field things from all points in between and beyond - the best new releases and demos that are circulating around the underground fanzine channels and landing here in the Organ office, along with news of forthcoming events and general alternative music news and goings on in and around London.

Expect an hour of challenging alternative music each week, the kind you don’t often get on ‘normal’ music radio shows and stations, expect special guests, expect who knows what... expect to find links and details so you can explore all that you hear on www.organart.com after each show

1:  UPSILON ACRUX - Transparent Seas - Radio Edit (excerpt) (Cuneiform)
2:  THE LAZE – Everlife (demo)
3:  HONEY RIDE ME A GOAT - Varicose Jibs (Unlabel)

7:  FRENCH FOR CARTRIDGE - Oooh! (Dinner With Daisy)
8: DR SLAGGLEBERRY - Feed Me A Stray Cat (Crash)
9: DEAD DAYS BEYOND HELP - Nervous Disposition (Copepod)

and details....

Avant standard-bearers UPSILON ACRUX have a new album out now! Called 'Radian Futura' its on Cuneiform; Upsilon are on top form, particularly with this outrageous 28 minute track that they claim is a radio edit! (we played just over 12 minutes of it). Upsilon Acrux come to the UK for the first time next month. Touring across the country but they play London THE SAME NIGHT as Magma fgoodnessake!!! London show on 6th October at Barden's Boudoir.  Support at that and some of the other gigs comes from both THE LAZE and HONEY RIDE ME A GOAT, in an attempt to make people’s brains explode. The Laze: www.myspace.com/thelaze Honey.. www.myspace.com/hrmag – Upsilon... www.myspace.com/upsilonacrux

Also over here and touring Europe are the magnificent KAYO DOT, who at time of writing have unfortunately had two members of their line-up stopped from entering the UK, but rather than disappoint by cancelling the tour the three remaining Kayo Dots are performing compositions from main man Toby Driver's Tartar Lamb project. – www.myspace.com/kayodot

Talking of gigs, GENTLE GIANT are pretty much reborn, even though they're too modest to say so, in the guise of THREE FRIENDS, a band with three original members of the 70s progressive legends; their gig last week was astonishingly good; they're in Canada at the moment, do not miss future gigs! And talking of Canada and Gentle Giant... Montreal based avant-proggers MIRIODOR just released their seventh album – titled 'Avanti' – it, like so many good things, is on Cuneiform. Three Friends – www.threefriends.info  - Miriodor – www.myspace.com/miriospace

Once upon a time there was a fine London band called Cartridge; they're now called FRENCH FOR CARTRIDGE and they have a new single out - www.frenchforcartridge.com or www.myspace.com/frenchforcartridge - also popping up after an short absence is UK band DR SLAGGLEBERRY with a mini-album titled 'The Slagg Factory' - they're a stripped-down three piece these days, still proper math/avant metal - www.crashrecords.co.uk

Finally, one more goodie from the UK - DEAD DAYS BEYOND HELP is the new band of Alex Ward, London-based multi-instrumentalist and key member of the late Camp Blackfoot - this is from their new album 'Access Denied' - www.myspace.com/deaddaysbeyondhelp – catch them at Ryan’s Bar here in London on Thursday 17th Sept.

Excitement!
Marina Organ

WHAT IS RESONANCE FM?
Resonance104.4fm is London's first radio art station. Its brief? To provide a radical alternative to the universal formulae of mainstream broadcasting. It features programmes made by musicians, artists and critics who represent the diversity of London's arts scene,

Resonance104.4fm is bringing a multitude of experimental sound, new music, radio art and interaction to the capital's airwaves. Resonance104.4fm broadcasts from the heart of London and is simultaneously streamed on the web at www.resonancefm.com where you can also check out our full programme listings.  Resonance104.4fm is the only station of its kind in the UK, providing access radio for London's arts community.

Imagine a radio station like no other. A radio station that makes public those artworks that have no place in traditional broadcasting. A radio station that is an archive of the new, the undiscovered, the forgotten, the impossible. That is an invisible gallery, a virtual arts centre whose location is at once local, global and timeless. And that is itself a work of art. Imagine a radio station that responds rapidly to new initiatives, has time to draw breath and reflect. A laboratory for experimentation, that by virtue of its uniqueness brings into being a new audience of listeners and creators. All this and more,  Resonance104.4fm aims to make London's airwaves available to the widest possible range of practitioners of contemporary art.
